Street Machine Nationals “Vroom” into Little Rock as New Host City

The Rock will Shake, Rattle and Roll with the City of Little Rock Being Awarded the O'Reilly Auto Parts Fall Street Machine Nationals Annual Event

(INDIANAPOLIS)  Family Events, an Indianapolis, Indiana based event producer specializing in automotive events, is pleased to announce that Little Rock will be the new home for the 21st Annual O'Reilly Auto Parts Street Machine Nationals coming September 11, 12 and 13 to the Arkansas State Fair Complex.   

The Street Machine Nationals has a history of over two decades of "VROOM" providing a horsepower holiday for spectators and enthusiasts from all over the nation to enjoy everything from classic cars to thrill shows.  Not only does the event feature thousands of hot rods, street machines and street trucks, but the latest in the aftermarket industry at the Performance Marketplace, Mickey Thompson Burnout Competition, Miss Street Machine Contest, Kids Zone, Main Stage,  food, games and more.  Many new features will also be added as Little Rock becomes the new home.

The Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau played an instrumental role in securing the event.  Mike Moore, President of Family Events points out: "Little Rock was a natural fit as the new home for the Street Machine Nationals.  Little Rock has a proven track record in hosting top automotive events as they were a tremendous host for two Hot Rod Power Tours and to bring the Street Machine Nationals to Little Rock is a great award for the strong car enthusiast base of Arkansas."

The event will make a significant impact on the local economy, as well as area car enthusiasts when they roll into Little Rock.  "Little Rock has an avid and enthusiastic automotive community and the planned improvements taking place at the fairgrounds give us the ability to highlight the city of Little Rock with this national event" said Carol Dolan, Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau.  "People from around the nation, as well as closer to home, will be treated with all Little Rock has to offer with a fantastic fun experience.  Our tremendous hospitality industry looks forward to playing host to this new national event."   The event expects to host over 1,700 participants and 16,000 plus spectators bases on past figures.
